Abstract

The paper discusses the role and importance of advertising within television formats, using the example of music talent show programs. Audience research has shown that, although this type of program is highly watched, advertising messages placed within the framework of music talent show programs essentially reach an extremely small number of viewers, who, during the duration of the commercials, spend their time in some other way than in front of the television.
