ARCHITECTURAL STUDY OF HYBRID OBJECTS - HYBRID OBJECT PROJECT IN NOVI SAD

Abstract

The project deals with the creation of a hybrid building that includes commercial and residential functions for a variety of uses (restaurant, hotel, gym, kindergarten, business and residential spaces). The designed building is located in a dense urban area of Novi Sad. Through the research, the following topics were covered: The role of housing as a place it depicts values and ideals of the society in which it originates; Analysis of historical antecedents and understanding forces and relationships that led to concrete spatial forms; Understanding the relationship between: city and building; individual and collective; private and public domain.
