The paper presents the importance of applying return logistics and recycling processes, with the aim of preserving the environment and positive economic effects in the Republic of Serbia. Appropriate methods and techniques were applied and identification and analysis of the causes of inadequate recycling in the Republic of Serbia was carried out. Based on that, measures were proposed to solve the observed problems.
