Photogrammetry is the process of generating 3D models using a large number of overlapping high-resolution photographs taken from multiple angles. In recent years, the video game industry has embraced photogrammetry as a means of creating highly detailed 3D content. The details obtained through the process of photogrammetry are exactly what create the illusion of complete realism and make a video game immersive. Immersiveness in video games allows the video game player to experience the virtual world and the characters within it as reality. Modern games rely on sensory stimulation of the player's entire body, which is why video game designers include augmented reality and full virtual reality simulations to maximize the gaming experience.
