Abstract

The paper analyzes the convenience of programming 3-axis and positional 5-axis milling using CAM software Fusion 360, as well as their importance in modern production technologies. The introduction of CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) software into modern manufacturing processes has proven to be a transformative technology, enabling significant improvements in precision, efficiency and overall automation of manufacturing tasks. The analysis was realized by programming 3-axis and positional 5-axis processing on a typical work item consisting complex surfaces.. Based on machining simulation, an analysis of machining time and productivity was performed.
