Abstract

The paper presents the basics of the finite element method, which was applied to calculate the flux linkages of synchronous machines with permanent mag­nets (PMSM). On the example of a synchronous motor with interior permanent magnets, the calculation of flux linkage were performed, and then waveform of flux linka­ge caused by the permanent magnet and waveform of flux linkage caused by armature stator currents were shown.
