Abstract

The topic of this document is the basics of the designing process of machines, structures and machine systems. The necessary definitions and a general division of design are given with the impact of product development through the design stages on the quality and price of the final product. Design phases are described through examples that could be applied in practice. Methods of searching for solutions are explained, as well as methods for selecting and evaluating the most suitable solution. Operations in the phases of construction and structural elaboration are described.
