Abstract

The paper provides an overview and analysis of the importance of the application of biochar from the aspect of sustainable development. For biochar, which is produced from various raw materials/biomass, the basic properties are presented - as a material of significant and complex application in the field of sustainable agriculture, anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, soil remediation, construction, energy storage and sequestration processes carbon.
