Abstract

The repeatability of the print is a clear indicator of print quality. The objective of this study was to examine the short-term repeatability of print from three different machines, namely, to compare prints produced at different time intervals. Samples were printed at the initial time, then after one hour, and after 24 hours. Emphasis is placed on measuring quality attributes of ink reproduction. Values of optical density, dot gain, CIE Lab color coordinates, color differences, spectral reflections were measured to determine deviations and variations in terms of print repeatability.
