The master's thesis examines the issue of medical waste management in the Republic of Serbia, specifically focusing on the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The thesis aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) that impact the effectiveness of the waste management system. Additionally, it analyzes the political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors (PESTEL analysis) that shape the waste management environment. Through the risk assessment of medical waste management, the thesis enables the identification of potential hazards and negative consequences, leading to a better understanding of risk factors and their impacts on human health, the environment, and society as a whole.
