Abstract

This paper presents the consideration of the significance of the introduction and application of NB-IoT in Serbia. Firstly, the general background of Internet-of-Things (IoTs), secondly mobile communications as one of the means for this connection is introduced, and finally NB-IoT with an overview of the basic characteristics as well as key technologies that led to the improvement of this standard was finally introduced. To better understand, NB-IoT's performance with other wireless techno-logies is compared in terms of energy demand, coverage, mode transfer, communication modes and cost of devices. In the end, the application in the form of intelligent applications NB-IoT that can be introduced in Serbia is analyzed.
