In this paper, the application of automation in industry is analyzed in the example of the process of mechanical joining of metal segments. Systematic automation has become one of the main topics related to business and broader economic issues. With the advanced development of technology in the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, there is a business world that is increasingly eliminating the traditional roles of workers in exchange for more and more automated business processes. Robotized industrial devices replace workers in large numbers or almost completely enhancing the production process efficiency.
