DATA ACQUISITION, PROCESSING AND MONITORING IN REAL TIME USING THE PI SYSTEM SOFTWARE PACKAGE

Abstract

This paper describes the PI System software package for collecting, enriching, storing, and accessing reliable, real-time operations data. All parts of its archi­tecture are explained, jointly representing a significant tool within the Industry 4.0 concept. The complete functionality of the system is practically presented in an example from the industry supported by a simulation of the data set of the process. The advantages and disadvantages of the system were discussed.
