The paper analyzes the effects of speed retarders on territory Indjija and Novi Sad. The speed od vehicles were measured when crossing different types of traffic retarders. Those speeds were compared with each other and then they were compared with the speeds achieved at the location of the fixed radar camera and at the location where there is no means to slow down the traffic. The effects of the analyzed means are shown and the most effective solution for slowing down the traffic is selected.
