This paper presents a new design of a supporting structure for a 3D digitizing method based on structured light. In order to perform the verification and numerical analysis of the load capacity of the structure design, the Finite Element Method (FEM) was applied. The results obtained using FEM analysis indicate that the current design of the supporting structure allows good load capacity.
