Abstract

This paper presents extension of power flow model to consider the effect of remote voltage regulation. Remote voltage regulation is conducted such that in each zone of the power system a pilot bus is defined, in which the voltage is regulated by adjusting the reactive power production on generators in the considered zone. The extension power flow model involves introducing of two new types of nodes: PQV and P. Remote voltage regulation has been verified on test system with 30 buses, and the results are presented and discussed in the paper.
