Abstract

The subject of this paper deals with the research of the complex process of urban regeneration and the implementation of urban regeneration in the city centres. Emphasis is placed on the very concept of urban regeneration, goals, strategies and approaches to it. Through the analysis of the case studies of successful urban regeneration in the world, we come to the conclusion of what is needed to make this process successful. The project of a mixed-use complex in Novi Sad is a successful example of urban regeneration and responds in the best ways to the conditions of the location. Emphasis is placed on urban agriculture and self-sustainability, as well as the importance of the community.
