URBAN STUDY OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE PERIPHERAL PART OF NOVI SAD

The paper deals with the urban transformation of the area located on the periphery of Novi Sad, implementing the concept of traffic calming by integrating pedestrians and vehicles. The repurposing of streets, the formation of their networks and the arrangement of free areas create environments dominated by pedestrian and bicycle traffic, children's play and socialization. By introducing new methods of street design and different activities, the area gets a unique structure that affects the safety of residents and the improvement of the quality of life in it.
