Filip Petaković was born in Ruma, Serbia, in 1993. He graduated in 2018 from the Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, majoring in Construction at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. He defended his master's thesis in the field of Civil Engineering - Concrete Structures at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in 2024.
Within this paper, a comparative analysis of the design of a multi-story RC structure in three different, but com-parable, structural systems is presented. A residential-commercial building with a floor plan of B+G+4+P is considered, and the analysis covers the behavior of the structure with three types/arrangements of primary seis-mic elements: shear walls of L-shape placed around the perimeter of the structure; walls of I-shape; and a series of short walls of rectangular sections, including perime-ter beam elements. Based on the analyses results, conclu-sions and recommendations related to the optimal design of multi-storey buildings with flat slabs are drawn.
