Abstract

Laser cutting is an advanced process whose performance depends on numerous factors. Due to a lack of reliable practical data on these factors, the laser cutting technology is often underutilized. In this paper, the Taguchi method was used to identify the optimal values of key process parameters, such as cutting speed, laser power, and assist gas pressure, in order to minimize the kerf angle and arithmetic mean roughness. The presented analysis and optimization methodology enables more precise and higher-quality control of the laser cutting process.
