Abstract

The Environmental Impact Assessment Study is a document that analyses and assesses the quality of environmental factors and their susceptibility on a certain area and mutual influence of the existing and planned activities, predicts the direct and indirect harmful effects of the project on the environmental factors, as well as the measures and conditions for prevention, reduction and elimination of harmful effects on the environment and human health. This thesis is a comparative analysis of the process of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) according to the legislation of the Republic of Serbia, in relation to the process of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) according to the International Financial Corporation standard (IFC) through an example of the Alibunar wind farm, Republic of Serbia.
