BIOMETRIC TECHNOLOGIES IN ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

This paper shows the application of devices that can make it easier for drivers to drive, especially in situations of drowsiness. Since driving has become an integral part of many people's daily lives, it requires their full attention. An example of using the "Stay awake" device, as well as a camera and an algorithm that monitor the driver's vigilance, is presented. At the end of the paper, the "Eye tracker" device is described, which could also be used as a device for monitoring the driver's gaze, i.e. his attention while driving.
