CALCULATION OF CONTROL VALVE FLOW CHARACTERISTICS USING COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS

The paper provides theoretical and numerical calculations of a control valve flow characteristic. The theoretical calculation is based on well-known analytical expressions, while for numerical calculation the SimFlow software has been used. The aim for this paper is to prove flow characteristics given by the valve manufacturer using numerical calculation.
