The paper provides a description of an educational station (electrical cabinet) specifically developed for training students in the field of industrial automation, with a particular focus on modern industrial communication protocols and components (devices) that are most commonly used in the industry today. Therefore, special tasks have been designed for students that require them to apply their knowledge in the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), as well as the application of various types of communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP, USS) using the proposed educational station.
