Abstract

In the Matlab/Simulink environment, a model of a 20 kV double-fed feeder with implemented and tested overcurrent protection and auto-reclosing (AR) was created. Considering the limitations of the model, a model of a 20 kV feeder based on a real 20 kV network feeder, which can be found in practice within the power system, was created. The model based on the real 20 kV network feeder takes into account the actual characteristics of the components and network parameters. On this developed model, short circuit simulations were performed and the results were analyzed, which vary based on the type, location, and duration of the short circuit. The aim of the work is to analyze the transient processes during automatic reclosing (AR).
