Technical reserves in insurance are funds that insurance companies set aside to ensure that they can meet their obligations to policyholders. Those reserves are crucial for the financial stability of the insurance company and for the protection of the insured. The basis of this paper is the presentation of the model and the calculation of reserves for incurred and unreported insurance damages. Insurance companies determine the adequate amount of technical reserves using actuarial mathematics and its mathematical methods.
