MODERNIZATION OF THE AUTOMATIC OIL DEODORIZATION PLANT IN THE DIJAMANT FACTORY

Abstract

This paper analyzes the automatic oil deodorization plant within the Dijamant factory. The existing system deficiencies were identified, based on which a new hardware configuration was proposed, including the Siemens PLC 1500 and HMI touch panel. A new software was developed in the TIA Portal v17 development environment, along with a completely new system visualization for the HMI device, enabling operators to directly control the system from the visualization itself. The goal of this visualization is to replace the existing synoptic panel. All elements were thoroughly tested and put into operation, after which appropriate conclusions were drawn based on the results.
