Abstract

This paper investigates the influence of cutting parameters on the surface roughness during turning of steel 42CrMo4. By applying the Taguchi method in the MINITAB software, an analysis of the experimentally obtained results was carried out. The results show that the Taguchi method and ANOVA analysis lead to the same results, and it was found that the greatest influence on surface roughness is feed rate.
