Abstract

The paper explores the intricate process of furniture design. We have analyzed the history of furniture and its design from the earliest examples of ancient civilizations through to modern times. The influence of renowned designers and the movements that have shaped contemporary design practice are thoroughly examined. Emphasis is placed on researching the principles that render design good, usable, quality, and durable. As a synthesis of these insights, the project resulted in the creation of three furniture pieces that honor the historical spirit while embodying contemporary materials and needs.
