Abstract

Parametric facades represent an interesting trend in contemporary architecture, with their number increasing each year. This master’s thesis examines the process of creating a parametric facade using digital design and fabrication through the application of BIM technology. BIM technology has the ability to optimize and accelerate traditional methods of model creation and documentation. In this thesis, one type of parametric facade is selected, and a series of steps for optimized fabrication planning and documentation for its construction is presented in detail.
