This research paper examines various methods for arsenic removal from water, with a particular emphasis on adsorption techniques. The study provides an overview of arsenic contamination in water sources and explores cost-effective treatment technologies using natural adsorbents. Special attention is given to the use of alternative, natural, and cheap adsorbents that can replace the more costly activated carbon. The paper also investigates hybrid systems that combine different techniques, such as adsorption and ultrafiltration, to achieve enhanced results. The efficacy of natural adsorbents, including hydroxylapatite, struvite, zeolites, clays, rocks, soil, and biosorbents, is presented. Arsenic removal from aqueous solutions is facilitated by a wide range of physicochemical methods.
