The focus of this work is on exploring the possibilities for rationalizing picking processes through automation. The aim of the study is to optimize the goods
picking process in an existing warehouse of a company, investigated through the automation and introduction of sorting robots into the warehouse system. The research utilized simulation modeling of both existing and proposed picking processes in a real warehouse system. Simulation models were developed using the "FlexSim" simulation software, allowing for the comparison of different variants of the picking processes according to previously defined parameters.
