This paper addresses the theoretical foundations of microgrids, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), optimization in power systems, and the DERs that will be used in this study. The primary goal of this work is to perform an optimization process aimed at minimizing active power losses while adhering to all voltage and technical constraints. Optimization was carried out by varying the power of the DERs by +/-10% and finding the local optimum for each resource, taking into account their specific characteristics and limitations. This approach achieved a better balance between energy production and consumption in the microgrid, thereby improving system efficiency and ensuring its stability.
