ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC SAFETY CONDITIONS IN THE WESTERN BALKAN COUNTRIES

The aim of this systematic literature review is to analyze traffic safety research in the Western Balkan countries, excluding Serbia, for the period from 2015 to 2024. A total of 32 primary studies were reviewed, covering key aspects such as risk analysis, the use of new technologies, the impact of infrastructure projects, and the development of strategic policies to improve traffic safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Slovenia. The review highlights common challenges in the region, such as the need for better regulation and more effective law enforcement.
