IMPLEMENTATION OF SELECTED REQUIREMENTS OF THE ISO 45001 STANDARD ON THE EXAMPLE OF A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
Abstract
The paper investigates the application of the ISO 45001 standard on the example of a civil engineering company, with the main focus on the basic requirements of the standard including management engagement, organizational context analysis, identification of stakeholders, definition of occupational health and safety policy, as well as hazard identification, risk and opportunity assessment, employee training , internal audits and review by management. Special attention is paid to specific dangers and harms in the construction industry, i.e. civil engineering, such as working with heavy machinery, exposure to dust, noise and hazardous materials. The paper presents a method for identifying and assessing risks in this sector. Also, for a comprehensive understanding of the context of the organization, SWOT and PESTEL analysis were used.
