Abstract

In the master's thesis, the techniques and methods most commonly used in mechanical engineering, which form the basis of automated design, such as solid modeling, parametric modeling, and others, were analyzed. Several examples of their application in design, along with their advantages and disadvantages, were presented. Additionally, the thesis described new methods that are still in the early stages of implementation, such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality, as well as the possibility of combining them with traditional automated design methods.
