Abstract

Preparation of the connection of a pumped storage power plant (PSPP) to the power system, while respecting European practices and standards, is the main topic of this paper. For this purpose, the values of short-circuit current and voltage distribution were analyzed for various PSPP operating modes. Based on the results obtained, adequate protective and switching equipment was selected, along with an accompanying discussion.
