THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES IN SMART GRIDS
Abstract
This paper analyzes the role of electric vehicles within the concept of smart power grids and their interaction with renewable energy sources. In the MATLAB/Simulink environment, the IEEE 13-bus test network was modeled with an integrated solar power plant and battery energy storage system. The aim is to evaluate the impact of these components on the stability and efficiency of the distribution network, as well as to assess the potential of electric vehicles as active elements in future smart grids.
