ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TENDERMINT CONSENSUS ALGORITHM AND ITS VARIATIONS
Abstract
The paper analyzes the Tendermint consensus algorithm, with special emphasis on its structure, operational phases, and mechanisms for achieving agreement in distributed systems. Its advantages, limitations, and possible variations and modifications aimed at improving performance, security, and scalability of blockchain-based systems are discussed.
