The subject of this master’s thesis is the comparison between modern BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology and the traditional approach in structural design. The aim of the research is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches through a practical example of designing an administrative building in Šabac. For the preparation of structural layout plans, the software Autodesk Revit 2024 and AutoCAD 2024 were used, while Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional and Tower 8 were applied for the structural analysis. The thesis provides a clear insight into the efficiency, accuracy, and advantages of BIM technology compared to the traditional approach.
