Abstract

This master's thesis analyzes the application of modern software tools in project and portfolio management, focusing on IT organizations. It investigates how tools like Planview and ProjectPlace, as well as Microsoft Azure DevOps and Microsoft Whiteboard, enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and collaboration. The paper systematically reviews their functionalities, integration, and advantages over traditional approaches. The results confirm the significance of digital transformation and appropriate tool selection for improved project planning, monitoring, and strategic direction. Furthermore, recommendations are provided for further process enhancement through tool integration and the application of agile principles, aiming for business optimization and better outcomes.
