Abstract

Motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users, facing a significantly higher risk of injury and fatality compared to occupants of enclosed vehicles. This heightened vulnerability arises from limited physical protection, increased exposure to traffic hazards, and behavioural and environmental factors. The paper analyses the safety of motorcyclists in traffic.
