Kinetic Façade as an Interactive Element of Contemporary Architecture
Abstract
The research focuses on the development and testing of kinetic façades thatrespond to light, heat, and human activity. Through the combination of digitalsimulations and physical prototypes, it examines how different mechanismscan improve a building’s energy efficiency and visual dynamism. The final outcome is the ''Wave 2.0'' prototype — a self-sustaining system powered by solar energy, featuring a simple and reliable mechanism that generates aninteractive, wave-like façade surface.
