Conceptual design of a residential-commercial building in a dialogue between luxury and social housing
Abstract
The paper analyzes the quality of housing in a contemporary city through a comparison of luxury and social housing models. The spatial, functional and social principles that shape contemporary housing typologies are discussed, with a special emphasis on spatial comfort and the relationship to the urban context. The paper is rounded off by the design application of the analyzed principles through the example of a luxury residential-commercial building in Novi Sad.
