COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF AGILE AND WATERFALL METHODOLOGIES IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Abstract
This paper provides a comparative analysis of agile and traditional methodologies in project management. The theoretical part presents the historical development, characteristics, principles, advantages, and disadvantages of some of the most widely used agile and traditional methodologies. The research part of the paper includes a case study analysis that illustrates the transition process of a specific company from the Waterfall to the Agile approach. The paper emphasizes the importance of adapting the methodology to the context and offers clear criteria for selecting the appropriate methodology based on project type, risks, resources, and required flexibility.
