Abstract

This paper presents an extension to the SeamlessMDD framework that introduces support for parsing via remote Web API services. Our goal was to minimize dependence on parsing libraries that would otherwise be included in the tool's core. The proposed
approach defines an abstract interface (IApiParser) along with two implementations, allowing the client to express intent in domain terms while a remote parsing service carries out the execution. This solution reduces coupling,
clearly separates responsibilities, and facilitates easy technology swaps, as demonstrated through two implementations, with AdvancedHTMLParser and lxml, that integrate without requiring changes to the client code. In this way, SeamlessMDD achieves a cleaner architecture and supports extensibility with new parsers.
