Abstract

The research presented in the paper was conducted through a comparative analysis of the time efficiency of technical documentation development using two approaches: the traditional 2D method and BIM methodology. The key elements of the research were examined through a case study based on the same building project and identical design requirements. The analysis included the time required for the preparation of graphical documentation, structural calculations, implementation of design modifications, and final documentation review. The results indicate that the BIM approach enables a significant reduction in the time required for technical documentation development, particularly during the revision and project coordination phases. Furthermore, the study confirmed that an integrated digital model represents an effective tool for improving productivity and reducing the risk of errors throughout the design process.
