Comparative Analysis of Microservices and Serverless Architectures in Distributed System Design
Abstract
This paper analyzes modern architectures for the development of distributed systems, with a particular focus on microservice and serverless architectures. Their fundamental characteristics, operating principles, as well as advantages and disadvantages in various application scenarios are presented. Through a comparative analysis, key criteria for architecture selection are examined, including scalability, cost, maintenance, and system complexity. The goal of this paper is to provide clear guidelines for selecting an appropriate architecture based on the business and technical requirements of modern software systems.
