Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate how collimator size and shot configuration influence dose distribution in a complex tumor geometry using an idealized numerical dose model. The analysis includes isodose maps, dose–volume histograms, and dosimetric indices for both single-shot and dual-shot treatment configurations. By examining these parameters within a controlled and simplified computational environment, the study highlights how specific planning choices affect the overall quality and effectiveness of stereotactic radiosurgery plans.
