BIG DATA IN ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS

This paper presents the technology of big data and its applications in electric power systems. After presenting the concept of big data, techniques for data collection, processing and storage and methods for data analysis, examples of the application of big data in many electrical grid processes, as well as impacts on relay protection, are proposed.
